ABSTRACT

Community service through the Eco Enzyme Workshop in Padukuhan Lodoyong is an innovative step in overcoming the problem of organic waste and increasing environmental awareness. Household waste and organic waste that are often not handled seriously are included as factors causing environmental damage. Eco Enzyme is the result of fermentation of organic materials that can be used as a natural cleaner, environmentally friendly pesticide, and organic fertilizer. Eco Enzyme is produced from a 3-month fermentation process with simple ingredients, brown sugar/molasses, waste or organic waste using a composition of 1:3:10. By actively involving the community, this workshop aims to empower participants to be able to apply the knowledge gained in everyday life. The method of knowledge dissemination used is the socialization method, joint manufacturing practices. This activity was attended by representatives from each RT in Padukuhan Lodoyong, the Dahlia Bersemi Women's Farmers Group, and the Lodoyong Asri Waste Processing Group. The implementation of the activity took place at the House of Bapak Dukuh Lodoyong. Before the activity was carried out, participants were encouraged to bring the tools and materials needed if they were willing. This activity has an impact on the ecological behavior of the community which is expected not to ignore the accumulation of domestic waste. The benefit of this activity is the increase in community capacity in waste processing efforts that can be a collective business idea for community groups in Padukuhan Lodoyong to improve the economy and maintain environmental sustainability. It is hoped that each household can produce Eco Enzyme independently, thereby reducing dependence on chemical cleaning products and improving environmental quality in Padukuhan Lodoyong, Lumbungrejo Village, Tempel District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta Province..
